Meet David Di. David is one of our Technical Support Engineers. He is attending Comvac to meet and network with OEMs, helping them to understand the benefits of working with the Airmaster range.

Can you share a bit about your journey working within the CMC NV family?

I am a Technical support engineer and have served for CMC over 5 years.

I am in charge of pre-sales, commissioning on the site and after-sales. I am also responsible for CMC IT, production troubleshooting and quality management.

Before this,  I worked as a process engineer for a US company for over 2 years.

Can you tell us about an exciting project you’re currently involved in?

My line manager and I visited a customer on-site, with a large machine where it took us around 4-5 hours to finish the whole commissioning.

When our newly introduced Airmaster FORM controller established communication with the customer VSD drive and kept running smoothly, I felt very excited and happy.

The large machine is installed with FORM controller.

Could you share a memorable experience from your time here or a significant milestone in your career within the company?

I have learned a lot from hardware, software and marketing. This valuable experience can help my career a lot in the future.

The most memorable experience was when I established the communication between our legacy Q1 controller with Delta drive VFD-M for the first time. Before we used the 4-20mA to do the speed control between VSD and controller. By introducing the communication between VSD drive and controller, we can monitor the key parameters and control the VSD drive in an advanced way.

At Comvac, what companies you are looking to meet/network with?

I am looking to meet new OEMS in the Comvac. I want to help them understand our products and the benefits of using our products.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy pursuing when you’re not at work?

I have two children, one daughter and one son. As a traditional father, when I am not at work, I like playing with my children.
